Katie Crysdale
Founder

Katie has 20 years of experience in the commercial swimming pool ("aquatics") industry in roles ranging from lifeguard, swim instructor, pool operator and facility manager. In 2017, she founded Lakeview Aquatic Consultants to address the fundamental gap that often exists between pool operations and programming. In 2020, she started the POOLaide Webinars to create free education opportunities for the aquatic industry during the Pandemic.
Katie has a B.A. from the University of Toronto and an M.A. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She's received numerous awards for high quality instruction and voluntary service to water safety and drowning prevention. Katie is an instructor trainer for the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance; the Lifesaving Society of Alberta & the Northwest Territories; and the Canadian Red Cross. Katie's speaker package is available by clicking here.
Originally from Ontario, Katie is proud to call Alberta home for the last 10 years. When she's not sharing her passion for pools, she can be found hiking up big mountains, reading esoteric articles, traveling to new countries, and eating delicious food.
